Watching David Choe Thumbs Up

I’ve been watching Thumbs Up, a series with David Choe on traveling by way of hopping freights and hitching.

Watching this sort of documentary is really interesting for me and reminds me a lot of when I traveled. Chasing cows, chickens, looking for places to sleep, and generally finding amusement wherever you can. It’s really boring mostly and you don’t do much. It’s a lot of waiting around and doing nothing.

Underpasses, graffiti, whatever. Very surreal.

If you’re interested in watching it, you can find it here on Watch Now from Netflix:

It’s a pretty honest view of what traveling is like, if you’re interested.

Also, everywhere sounds like cicadas.
